Energy Allies and our staff are on a mission to revolutionize the energy system through the leadership and ownership of clean energy projects in climate-impacted communities.
We believe in a transparent and inclusive approach to co-learn and co-design an equitable transition to clean energy. That’s why we deployed this Community Resources page, so that our communities can participate in our journey to rebuild a just and equitable energy system. Learn more about the research, movements and thought-leadership behind why we center communities in the transition to renewable energy.
Energy Allies staff worked to gather these resources to innovate opportunities that better serve our communities. We identified resources from our partners, through our coalitions and with our communities. Through this process, we recognized the value of these resources and the ability of our community members to envision solutions on their own terms with access to them. As a result, our community resources page was born, to provide transparency into our knowledge of local context, opportunities and solutions.
Our community resources create transparency around our co-learning to revolutionize the energy system through justice, equity, belonging, diversity, access and inclusion.
We are grateful for the researchers who have led research and innovation for justice in climate-impacted communities. Racism and climate change have the same roots. For this reason and countless more, it’s impossible to address the climate crisis without addressing racism. Join us in reading foundational research into energy, environmental and racial justice below.
